RPA Citizen Development program

This Big Four business service provider has a Shared Service Center in the Netherlands in which tasks such as payroll, finance and HR are performed. The organization knows that a lot can be saved here by automating routine work, and wants to involve its own employees as much as possible and offer them new career prospects.

Under the guidance of Node1, 15 employees took a crash course in RPA in 10 weeks. The program focused not only on functional aspects, but also on issues such as recognizing the right opportunities and optimizing the business processes involved.

Employees built their first own smart bots during these 10 weeks. The initial savings were 5,000 hours per year. After their first introduction to RPA, many citizen developers went on to build more RPA bots or even train colleagues to become Citizen Developers.

In addition, Node1 also provided its own developers to develop the bots that were too complex for Citizen Development.
